Principal's Notes

Dear Franklin Parents,

I am very proud, honored, and grateful to be the Principal of Franklin High School. I have been at Franklin since 2009 and I am very proud of the progress that has been done to increase student achievement. Franklin is successful because of its safe learning environment provided by all staff including administrators, teachers, and personnel. Together with parents and community members, we will continue the path of educating Franklin students with common core rigorous learning.

Franklin staff is dedicated to educating your children and thank you for entrusting their education to us. We look forward to building their knowledge, social and academic skills, and preparing students to college or career readiness. We will continue the culture of collaboration and preparation so your student can benefit from the common core experience.

Franklin is committed to increasing not only student achievement, but Franklin Spirit! Students are proud of their activities, rallies, clubs, athletic teams, PLUS program, academic competitions, and other student led activities.  I look forward to increase school spirit from both students and staff. Franklin is proud of having visitors, from alumni to parents and community members. I encourage parents/community and students to participate in their school and to become actively involved in their child’s education.

If you have any concerns, do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher, administrator, counselor or me.  As Principal, I am committed to providing students a safe rigorous learning environment. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (209) 933-7435. I am also available Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Sincerely,

Mr. Juan A. Salas, Principal

Peer program a success

“This year for Franklin we visited various elementary schools,” Joey Ramirez, president of the PLUS team at Franklin High, told those assembled in the center. “They’re the next generation, and I just thank God that I’m able to be in this program, to reach out to little kids.” Read  article
